The Morgon Bellevue Sable 2023 from the Daniel Bouland winery is a refined and profound expression of the Morgon terroir, one of the ten crus of Beaujolais. This red wine is known for its robust structure and deep ruby color that heralds an equally intense bouquet. On the nose, it opens with lively aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherries and blackberries, complemented by subtle spicy nuances and a slight touch of minerality, typical of the sandy and schist soil from which it originates.
In the mouth, the Morgon Bellevue Sable shows a splendid balance between a fresh acidity and well-structured tannins, which blend into a long and pleasantly persistent finish. This wine is made from Gamay grapes, traditionally vinified to preserve the varietal character and the expression of the terroir.
Ideal to serve at a temperature of 16-18°C, the Morgon Bellevue Sable 2023 pairs perfectly with rich dishes such as roasted red meats, game, or aged cheeses. This vintage is already delightful to enjoy now, but it can also be stored in the cellar for a few years, developing further nuances of complexity.
