The peculiarity of this variety of Pinot Grigio lies in the vinification, which gives rise to a wine with a "coppery" color, that is, a more or less intense pink color, deriving from the very brief maceration of the skins with the must during vinification.
This wine is striking for its liveliness, persistence and a finish that recalls notes of gooseberry and citrus peel. Its aroma is intense and rich, with evident hints of white peach and melon, followed by fruity tones of blackberry, black cherry and a final of undergrowth flowers. On the palate, this wine is enveloping and has a pleasant acidity, with an aftertaste that evokes red fruit and mineral sensations.
This Ramato Pinot Grigio goes well with delicately flavored cured meats, such as sweet prosciutto. It is also an ideal choice to accompany fish or vegetable-based first courses.
