Porto Vintage 2012 75cl - Fonseca represents an excellent example of this famous fortified wine produced in the historic Douro region of Portugal. Made from a blend of native varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, this Porto stands out for the intensity and structure typical of a particularly favorable year like 2012.

After controlled fermentation, the wine is left to mature in oak barrels for a short period, then continues aging in the bottle for many years. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color, rich with violet reflections, while on the nose it releases complex aromas of ripe red fruits, plum, dark chocolate, and sweet spices. On the palate, it reveals itself as imposing yet balanced, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish recalling notes of cherry liqueur and licorice.

This Porto Vintage pairs perfectly with aged cheeses like pecorino, desserts based on dark chocolate, or as an excellent meditation wine. An expression of great softness and power that celebrates the terroir and the long winemaking tradition of the Fonseca cellar.
