The Pouilly-Fuissé "Tête de Cuvée" from Château-Fuissé is a wine that exemplifies the elegance and richness of Southern Burgundy. This wine is strictly produced with selected Chardonnay grapes from old vines located in the best parcels of the Pouilly-Fuissé area. The winemaking is carried out with great precision, with fermentation in barrels and subsequent aging on fine lees, which gives the wine a complex structure and remarkable longevity.
In the glass, the "Tête de Cuvée" displays a brilliant golden color that anticipates its richness. On the nose, it offers a seductive bouquet of white-fleshed fruits, such as peach and pear, with touches of vanilla and toasted almond due to the aging in wood. On the palate, the wine is full and robust, with a creaminess balanced by a lively acidity that leads to a long and mineral finish.
Ideal as an accompaniment for rich fish dishes, seafood, or poultry in creamy sauces, the Pouilly-Fuissé "Tête de Cuvée" from Château-Fuissé is also an excellent candidate for aging, capable of evolving and improving in the cellar for many years.
