The Rhum Habitation Velier Hampden OWH 2016 is an extraordinary distillate from the famous Long Pond Estate in Jamaica, a region renowned for producing high-proof rum. Distilled using the pot still method, it represents an authentic expression of the Caribbean terroir, highlighting the characteristic aromatic profile of the local sugar cane. The aging takes place in ex-bourbon barrels, which impart complexity and smoothness, while preserving the power and rich extractive character of the distillate.

On the nose, intense notes of ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, spices, and a subtle minerality reminiscent of volcanic soil are perceived. On the palate, it is rich, enveloping, with hints of molasses, caramel, and a pleasant spiciness that lingers in the long and persistent finish. Excellent to taste neat or with a cube of ice, it pairs well with spicy dishes or dark chocolate-based desserts. This rum represents a sensory journey into the heart of the most authentic Jamaican tradition.
