Let’s talk about Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT - Ca Modeano

More questions

The Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT by Ca Modeano is born in a dedicated territory, among the hills of Friuli, where the cool climate and Central European breezes favor a slow ripening of the grapes. This indigenous variety expresses itself with characteristic liveliness and minerality, enhanced by careful vinification that preserves the aromatic freshness and the fragrance of the fruit.

The wine presents a bright straw-yellow color and delicate aromas of green apple, pear, and a subtle hint of alpine herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and harmonious, with a pleasant acidity that makes the sip light yet persistent. The aging mainly takes place in steel to maintain intact the varietal notes and the taste clarity.

Perfect as a companion to seafood appetizers, light fish dishes, and fresh cheeses, this Ribolla Gialla elegantly expresses its original regional identity.

The estate is shown on historical maps and vineyards have been cultivated in the area since 1982; the complex was renovated preserving the villa and farmhouses and has an agricultural tradition that has evolved over time. In May 2023 management passed to cousins Luca and Andrea Cisorio, who have started a relaunch while maintaining the facilities for tastings and direct sales.
Production philosophy
The estate declares a strong commitment to sustainability: it adopts SQNPI-certified integrated production practices, avoids the use of herbicides, fosters biodiversity between the vine rows, and uses resources to reduce environmental impact.
Terroir and vineyards
