More questions
The Rosso IGT Alpi Retiche - Bramito from Retica shows a deep ruby color and a measured character. On the nose there are aromas of ripe red fruit, light spicy notes and a slight herbal hint that contributes freshness; the aromatic profile remains pleasant and restrained. On the palate it displays balance between a linear structure, tannins that are present but not aggressive, and a good acidity that supports the drinking experience. The progression is coherent and the finish leans toward a slightly savory close.
It is best served at a moderate temperature, preferably slightly chilled relative to room temperature, in large glasses to encourage aeration. It pairs with medium-bodied dishes such as flavorful white meats, cured meats, medium-firm cheeses and traditional local recipes; it is also suitable for casual, convivial occasions. It can stand up to stews or mushroom-based dishes and readily invites a second glass. Store in a cool, stable place away from light and temperature swings, and consume within the drinking window indicated on the label.

The winery
Retica Azienda Agricola S.r.l.
Lombardy (Valtellina, province of Sondrio)Italy
Boutique winery based in Sondrio (Montagna in Valtellina) producing Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) wines, including the Panau Alpi Retiche IGT.
The story
The project began around late 2018 from a friendship between the founders and the viticultural experience of Matteo's family; it developed by expanding owned vineyards and converting historic spaces into a winery. Retica today defines itself as an independent boutique winery.
Production philosophy
A romantic, artisanal approach to Valtellina Nebbiolo: attention to the full production chain, controlled experimentation, no reliance on distributors and a direct relationship with customers.
Terroir and vineyards
Owned vineyards in the Grumello and Inferno areas (Montagna in Valtellina, Sondrio), up to about 500 m asl; predominantly sandy-calcareous soils with stony content. Exclusive cultivation of Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) on terraced, heroic slopes with manual harvest.
