The Sauvignon Blanc from Ansitz Waldgries, called Myra, is born in the suggestive South Tyrolean vineyards, an authentic expression of the Appiano territory. This wine draws its purity from the Sauvignon Blanc grape, cultivated in a favorable climate that gives the fruit freshness and intense aromaticity. The careful and respectful aging method enhances the varietal characteristics without overlays, maintaining an elegant balance between acidity and sapidity.

In the glass, it releases a complex and inviting olfactory profile, with herbal notes, hints of exotic fruit, and white flowers intertwined with light mineral touches. The sip is vivid, fresh, and persistent, accompanied by a pleasantly citrusy aftertaste that recalls the balance and vitality of the South Tyrolean mountains. Perfect to enhance seafood appetizers, grilled fish dishes, and fresh cheeses, Myra from Ansitz Waldgries represents an authentic and refined sensory experience, immersed in alpine atmospheres.

Winery history
The property, mentioned in historical documents as early as 1242, is an ancient ansitz in the Santa Maddalena area. The Plattner family has managed the estate since the first half of the 20th century and, over time, transformed the historic residence into a small artisanal winery now led by Christian Plattner. Bottling on a modern scale began in the second half of the 20th century, and the estate has progressively developed a collection of wines focused on the local area.
Production philosophy
An artisanal, terroir-driven approach: hands-on work in the vineyard, respect for the characteristics of each grape variety, and a production focused on expressing the identity of local varieties. The owner likens the creation of the wines to an artistic process, seeking to accompany the wine’s evolution rather than force it.
Terroir and vineyards
South-facing vineyards in the Santa Maddalena area on the outskirts of Bolzano, with steep slopes and views of the Dolomites. The area is Alto Adige / Südtirol, with wines historically linked to the local appellation.
