The Sauvignon Riserva IGT produced by the renowned Kante winery represents an emblem of excellence in the Italian wine scene. Originating from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, this white wine is distinguished by its intense aromaticity and the refinement of its sensory notes.

Grown in vineyards located on soil rich in limestone and marl, Kante's Sauvignon benefits from a unique microclimate that promotes the slow maturation of the berries, thus allowing for the development of a superb aromatic complexity. The Riserva is produced by selecting only the best Sauvignon grapes, which are then subjected to controlled fermentation followed by a period of aging in oak barrels that emphasizes the structure and adds nuances of elegance.

Visually, the Sauvignon Riserva presents a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is explosive, characterized by vibrant aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and floral scents, enriched by delicate hints of aromatic herbs and a light mineral vein that testifies to the terroir of origin.

On the palate, the wine surprises with its freshness and remarkable balance. The attack is vigorous and clean, with a beautiful acidity that harmonizes harmoniously with a rich and enveloping texture. The finish is persistent, with a return of fruity notes and a pleasant sensation of cleanliness, inviting another sip.

The Sauvignon Riserva IGT by Kante pairs beautifully with elaborate fish dishes, shellfish, and seafood, but can also be an excellent companion for blue cheeses and vegetarian dishes rich in aromatic herbs. Ideal for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and innovation, this Sauvignon Riserva is a classy choice for any special occasion.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
