“Stoan” is a white wine great expression of South Tyrolean finesse and body. It is produced with a blend of white berried grapes: 65% Chardonnay, 20% Sauvignon, 10% Pinot Bianco and 5% Gewurztraminer, with a faithful style of a territory with characteristics coming from the alpine hills and mineral soils that give a signature to the own grapes.
The Tramin company is located in Termeno and processes grapes made available by the 300 related winegrowers, which includes 260 hectares of vineyards located in the municipalities of Termeno, Egna, Ora and Montagna. The grapes are harvested manually towards the end of September and with a careful selection of the bunches. Once in the cellar these are softly pressed, the must is then transferred to large wooden barrels where the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation will take place. Still in wood, it refines until the end of August in contact with its own yeasts and ages in the bottle for a further 3 months.
“Stoan” is presented in the chalice with a golden yellow robe. The nose has a fruity and floral bouquet with hints of peach, apricot, Chinese mandarin and pear, aromas of elderflower and mimosa, ending with a hint of spice. The taste is enveloping, full-bodied and extremely aromatic, with a freshness that gives the sip a great drinkability.
It goes perfectly with hot fish appetizers and grilled fish; excellent with first courses topped with tomato sauce and stewed white meat.
