The Whisky Pike Creek 10 Y.O. Rum Barrel Finish by Corby represents a refined meeting between tradition and experimentation in the universe of Canadian spirits. Produced in the Eastern Canada region, this whisky ages for ten years in oak barrels before completing its maturation in barrels previously used for rum, thus conferring a unique and complex character to the final product.
On the nose, it presents enveloping notes of vanilla and caramel, intertwined with exotic hints of sweet spices and tropical fruit, due precisely to the aging in rum wood barrels. The palate is soft and warm, revealing aromas of molasses, toffee, and a light smoky touch, while the finish is long and slightly spicy, with aftertastes of cocoa and spiced wood.
