Colle Massari Winery

The Castello Colle Massari estate is one of the most enchanting and evocative wineries in the region; Claudio Tipa, a former telecommunications engineer, is the owner of several vineyards and farms, and has become one of the major Tuscan wine producers.

The estate is spread over the slopes of Monte Amiata in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in a place still free from mass tourism, rich in vast woods that alternate with vineyards and olive groves overlooking the Argentario. Colle Massari has a modern and functional cellar totally integrated into the ancient castle; the entire property has 1200 hectares, and only 10% are planted with vineyards. The vines that gave the name to the DOC Montecucco are over 50 years old.

In the company we find the red wines that have made the Maremma famous in the world such as Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon, while in the part most exposed to sea breezes we find Vermentino. Claudio Tipa has converted the vineyards to organic farming, respecting the environment and the consumer, and has helped to stimulate the local economy, hiring young specialized and passionate staff.

Here are born incredible labels, symbols of elegance and great personality, sensational wines that express all the essence of the territory and that transmit it in total authenticity and maximum strength.
