Cantina Les Crêtes
The Les Crêtes company was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles (Aosta Valley) by Costantino Charrère, and is now managed by his family, which also owns a historic water mill from the 1700s and the ancient cellars of Via Moulins.
The production area of the company, which originates in the difficult mountain area, is characterized by a high fragmentation of the vineyards and high planting density (8,000-9,000 feet / Ha) due to the slopes of the land. The moraine and sandy soils of these areas are an ideal environment for the cultivation of numerous native and international varieties. The alpine climate strongly influences the organoleptic characteristics of local wines. The grapes are harvested late and undergo severe temperature changes due to the autumn temperature range (day / night + 22 ° C / 0 ° C); this phenomenon, typical of mountain areas, favors the formation of aromatic precursors in the bunch, which considerably enrich the aromatic component of wines.
Les came Crêtes are a symbol of quality and authenticity, known not only nationally but worldwide for their ability to faithfully express the Alpine terroir and guarantee a sip of taste and character.
