It was 2013 when the Fugatti family decided to get involved in a territory different from the place of origin: Alto Adige. Strengthened by a century-old winemaking experience and with the entrepreneurial drive that characterizes them, in 2014 they presented the first vintage of Von Blumen wines.

The company is located in Pochi di Salorno, a small town south of Bolzano. Ten hectares of vineyards perched on the slopes of Monte Corno; a sort of raised and terraced plateau extending between 500 and 1000 meters above sea level with a 25% slope and facing west.

The mild and sunny days, the warm soils, the right amount of rainfall, the cool nights and the strong winds make the South Tyrolean wines fruity and fresh. If demanding vines grow at medium-high altitudes such as Pinot bianco, Sauvignon or Pinot nero that express all their refinement, in the valley bottoms it is the later ripening vines, such as Lagrein, that give their best.

Throughout the year, the goal of Von Blumen is the vegetative balance of the vines, to harvest healthy bunches rich in polyphenols and without the use of pesticides. Uhe further distinctive feature of the Monte Corno National Park, where the vines grow, is represented by the varied and uncontaminated nature in which rare forms of flora and fauna are able to live, from the Flying Stag to the Wild Orchid.
