Winery nicolas maillart

The Maillart family has been involved in viticulture since 1753. Nicolas, of the ninth generation, returned to run the estate in 2003 after studying engineering and oenology, and has developed a range focused on single-vineyard expressions and estate reserves. In recent years the estate has introduced environmental measures such as photovoltaic panels to reduce its energy footprint.

Terroir-driven approach: a preference for parcel cuvées and wines that reflect the terroir. Management practices close to organic, attention to biodiversity and pragmatic management.

They operate primarily in the Montagne de Reims, with parcels in Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages that produce both single-vineyard wines and blended cuvées.
