Winery history Terrazas de los Andes

The project began in the early 1990s with the exploration of Mendoza’s high-altitude terraces. The first vintage of Reserva Malbec was vinified in 1996 and released to the market in the late 1990s. Over the years the winery has acquired and developed vineyards in key appellations such as Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, integrating irrigation technologies and modern viticultural practices.

Production philosophy

Strong focus on the mountain environment and on fruit quality: production of "mountain wines" at high altitude using agricultural practices focused on soil regeneration, water conservation and reducing environmental impact. The winery's messaging emphasizes the claim that fresher, more elegant wines come from altitude and the precise management of vineyard parcels.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located in the province of Mendoza, with parcels distributed between Luján de Cuyo and several subzones of the Valle de Uco. Some of the vineyards mentioned include Las Compuertas, Los Castaños, El Pedregal, Licán, Cepas del Plata and El Espinillo, cultivated at different altitudes to enhance the expression of each terroir.

Awards and recognitions

Sustainability recognitions: attainment of regenerative certifications/programs and mentions in awards and recognitions related to environmental management; additionally, some wines have been included in international rankings such as those of Wine Spectator.
