Montenegro Distillery
Stanislao Cobianchi, passionate alchemist and passionate traveler with a great spirit of adventure, was born in 1862. Towards the end of the 19th century, still a teenager, despite the family's desire to take the vows to become a priest, he, following his instinct, left Bologna and embarks on a merchant ship in search of adventure.
The discovery and discovery of original botanical specialties during his journey are fatal for him, so much so that upon returning to Italy, he decides to deal with the experimentation and preparation of liqueurs and elixirs. After 4 years of rigorous experiments, in 1885, he finally formulated the perfect recipe for the unique and inimitable Amaro Montenegro, and founded the "Cobianchi Stanislao Steam Distillery".
Originally Amaro was born with the name of Elixir Lungavita; Sara suneleven years later, on the occasion of Stanislao's participation in the marriage between the Princess Elena of Montenegro and Prince Vittorio Emanuele III, decides to dedicate his elixir to that royal figure, thus changing the name to the still known today, Amaro Montenegro.
