Remy Martin House

The history of Maison Rémy Martin dates back to 1724, a brand that has always had one goal: to capture the heart of the Cognac region. Starting from its roots, it has constantly improved to offer cognacs of the highest quality, rich in intense aromas.

The Rémy Martin cognac also owes a lot to the soil from which it comes, in fact for its production only grapes from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions are used, containing a single type of soil, with a chalky and calcareous composition, which reflects the light and matures the grapes perfectly. The brandies needed come exclusively from the heart of the Cognac region, offering a range of unique tastes and flavours.

In this way distillates are obtained with great finesse and balance, thanks also to the skill of the master distillers and cellarmen, among the best in the sector, all born and raised in the "Charente".

Throughout the supply chain, from vinification to distillation, Rémy Martin uses cutting-edge technologies; the distillation process is very long and delicate, the wines are distilled with extreme patience twice in small discontinuous copper stills (each phase takes 24 hours). From 12 kg of grapes a single liter of brandy is obtained, which is then left to mature for decades, in traditional French Limousin oak barrels aged more than twenty years, which will exempt the fruity notes; a process also known as “Mature Cask Finish”.

VSOP is the icon of Maison Rémy Martin, an excellent Cognac, which with its unmistakable taste, has managed to conquer passionate admirers all over the world.
