Family-owned winery located in Appiano on the Wine Road (Alto Adige/Südtirol), run by the Pichler family and focused on a sustainable, organic approach to viticulture.
The Bergmannhof estate has been in the Pichler family since the 19th century and is today run by multiple generations of the same family. In recent decades the family has concentrated its on-site wine production, developing a range of wines that blends indigenous and international varieties.
Production philosophy
We work close to nature with sustainable viticulture practices and a winemaking approach focused on cleanliness and artisanal precision; our company communications emphasize management across generations and minimal intervention to showcase the terroir and the grapes.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the municipality of Appiano on the Strada del Vino, at the foot of the Macaion/Gantkofel massif. The soils are composed of clay, limestone and gravel typical of the hills of S. Paolo/Gaider, elements that contribute to the structure and minerality of the wines.
