A Burgundian house based in Beaune, acting as both producer and négociant of wines made primarily from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and owner of prestigious vineyards across the Côte de Beaune.
The Maison's history dates back to the early 18th century: Michel Bouchard settled in Beaune and the family began trading wine. In the following decades the Bouchard family acquired significant vineyards. The Maison's historic headquarters are linked to the Château de Beaune, and ownership passed to the Henriot family in 1995; more recently the Maison became part of Artémis Domaines. The official website cites 1731 as the year activities began in Beaune and 1775 as the date of the first acquisition of vineyard plots.
