The story
Founded in 1750 in Beaune, Chanson is one of Burgundy's oldest maisons. In 1999 the estate became part of the family group associated with Bollinger, which supported the modernization of the vineyards and the winery. In recent years the estate has expanded its vineyard holdings and has begun converting to organic practices, with the first certified harvest recorded in 2024.
Production philosophy
The approach prioritizes fidelity to the terroir: care for the 'climats', vineyard interventions to promote biodiversity, and winemaking that lets fragrance and finesse emerge. Vineyard work is focused on sustainability, with a moderate use of oak in the cellar to preserve aromatic purity and balance.
