This elegant Classic Method Brut Sparkling Wine from the Chatrè winery of La Riva is a fine example of mastery in the production of sparkling wine using the traditional method, characterized by a secondary fermentation in the bottle that defines its quality and uniqueness.

The color is a soft straw yellow, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage that caresses both the palate and the eyes. On the nose, it presents a complex and seductive bouquet: notes of toasted bread mix delicately with hints of green apple, citrus, and a slight touch of almond. This olfactory complexity invites a tasting that reveals a balanced, fresh, and lively experience, with excellent harmony between acidity and structure.

In the mouth, the experience is sublime with a creamy texture, wonderful freshness, and a clean and lasting finish. Thorough vinification, followed by a maturation period of at least 24 months on the lees, gives this sparkling wine a refinement and depth that make it perfect for special occasions.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Classic Method Brut Sparkling Wine from Chatrè also pairs beautifully with light appetizers, seafood, and fish-based dishes. Moreover, it is an excellent companion for celebrating important moments, offering a sensory experience that elevates any celebration.

When serving, it is recommended to chill it at a temperature of 6-8°C to enhance all its aromatic and taste qualities, making it a true protagonist at the table. With this sparkling wine, La Riva Chatrè continues to affirm its commitment to creating high-quality sparkling wines that express the terroir and craftsmanship of the region.

Winery history
Tenuta La Riva was founded as a family project, driven by Alberto's passion and the tradition of several generations. The estate has grown steadily, focusing on bottle refermentation and the promotion of local grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Trebbiano Modenese, with the family involved in every stage from vineyard to cellar.
Production philosophy
The winery favors refermentation in bottle and a low-intervention winemaking approach: organic farming, low use of sulfites and techniques that respect the land and health. For sparkling wines they practice long periods of lees contact and perform disgorgements à la volée for low- or no-dosage wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate, located in the Colli Bolognesi at Castello di Serravalle, is surrounded by the characteristic calanchi of the Emilian Apennines and lies about half an hour from Bologna. It cultivates indigenous and international grape varieties suited to the hilly terrain.
