This Pignoletto Frizzante TR2.0, named "Il Rivoletto" by La Riva winery, represents a charming example of the sparkling wines from the Emilia-Romagna region. It boasts a light straw yellow color with brilliant reflections that herald its freshness and liveliness. On the palate, the fine and lasting perlage introduces a crisp and refreshing sensation that nicely complements the nature of the grape variety.

The olfactory bouquet is a delight of spring aromas; floral notes of acacia and jasmine blend with hints of fresh fruit such as pear and peach, enriched by a subtle nuance of fresh almond. This aromatic profile is the result of a rigorous selection of Pignoletto grapes, cultivated with dedication and respect for tradition and the local terroir.

Taste-wise, "Il Rivoletto" surprises with a balanced mix of acidity and minerality that is extremely pleasant and inviting. This feature makes it an extremely versatile wine for food pairings, ideal to accompany light appetizers, fish-based dishes and seafood, as well as fresh and delicate cheeses.

We recommend serving this Pignoletto Frizzante at a temperature of 8-10°C to fully appreciate its freshness and expressiveness. Perfect for convivial occasions, "Il Rivoletto" is capable of adding a touch of elegance and festivity to every shared moment.

In summary, La Riva winery with "Il Rivoletto" offers an interpretation of Pignoletto that is both traditional and contemporary, presenting a wine that enhances the purity and identity of its grape variety in a sparkling and exciting style.

Winery history
Tenuta La Riva was founded as a family project, driven by Alberto's passion and the tradition of several generations. The estate has grown steadily, focusing on bottle refermentation and the promotion of local grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Trebbiano Modenese, with the family involved in every stage from vineyard to cellar.
Production philosophy
The winery favors refermentation in bottle and a low-intervention winemaking approach: organic farming, low use of sulfites and techniques that respect the land and health. For sparkling wines they practice long periods of lees contact and perform disgorgements à la volée for low- or no-dosage wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate, located in the Colli Bolognesi at Castello di Serravalle, is surrounded by the characteristic calanchi of the Emilian Apennines and lies about half an hour from Bologna. It cultivates indigenous and international grape varieties suited to the hilly terrain.
