With careful selection of the ripest grapes and vinification respecting traditional Piedmontese techniques, this wine is a true expression of the local terroir.
"Barturot" presents itself with an intense ruby red color, sometimes with violet reflections that testify to its youth. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet with notes of cherry, plum, and a light spiciness reminiscent of black pepper and licorice. This is enriched by hints of violet, typical of Dolcetto.
On the palate, the wine is extraordinarily balanced: the acidity is well countered by the softness of the tannins, which are present but delicate, contributing to a pleasantly round and full sip. The finish is persistent, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.
This wine is ideal to serve with traditional Piedmontese dishes, such as agnolotti del plin or meat-based dishes. It is also exceptionally suitable for pairing with medium-aged cheeses. The ideal serving temperature is between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
Producing "Barturot" requires passion, dedication, and a strong connection to the land, qualities that Cà Viola fully embodies. This wine not only represents the quality of Dolcetto d'Alba but also transports those who taste it to the heart of the Langhe, where wine culture is a tradition of life.
