The Barolo DOCG "Ginestra Vigna Sorì" produced by Conterno Fantino is a sublime expression of Nebbiolo grown in the renowned Ginestra vineyards, located in the Monforte d'Alba area, in the heart of the Langhe. The Conterno Fantino winery is renowned for its attention to tradition and innovation, which is reflected in their high quality wines, capable of embodying the authenticity and elegance of the Piedmontese territory.
This Barolo has an intense garnet red color, with orange reflections that testify to its evolution with aging. On the nose, it reveals a complex and fascinating bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched with hints of dried flowers, spices, tobacco and undergrowth, which give the wine a unique aromatic depth.
In the mouth, Barolo "Ginestra Vigna Sorì" shows a powerful and well-balanced structure, with solid but elegant tannins that give the wine a pleasant softness and a long tasting persistence. The vibrant acidity and minerality further underline the complexity of the wine, leading to a long and enveloping finish, characterized by persistent aromatic returns.
This extraordinary Barolo is perfect for accompanying rich and structured dishes of Piedmontese and international cuisine, such as red meats, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses. Furthermore, thanks to its structure and complexity, it is an ideal wine to be appreciated on its own, in moments of relaxation and contemplation.
