Giacomo Fenocchio's company opened in the 19th century in Monforte D'Alba, a reality that has always expressed great quality and authenticity, relying solely on the great native tradition. The Cannubi variety, among the oldest Crus of the denomination, it highlights all the natural character of Nebbiolo; the vines have an average age of 40 years. The grapes are vinified according to the traditional Langhe method which includes long maceration on the lees, spontaneous fermentation and aging for at least 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

It shows a garnet red color with bright ruby reflections; on the nose the bouquet is complex, with hints of medicinal herbs and withered flowers, accompanied by notes of liquorice roots, cloves and aromas of black pepper. When tasted it is dry, with a perfect harmony between dense tannins and freshness; the persistence of beeswax and chinotto is long.

A superior red, superb excellent to pair with rather important meat dishes such as game and venison.
