Santenay Villages "Les Charmes Dessus" by Domaine de Bellene is a wine that captures the essence of Burgundy through the expression of Pinot Noir, grown in one of the most distinctive terroirs in the region. Domaine de Bellene, founded and managed by renowned winemaker Nicolas Potel, is known for its commitment to producing wines that faithfully reflect the identity of each individual vineyard parcel, with particular attention to sustainability and biodiversity.

Santenay is located at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune and is distinguished by its limestone and clay soils, which give the wines a solid structure and pronounced minerality. "Les Charmes Dessus" is a specific parcel located within Santenay, known for the superior quality of the Pinot Noir grapes grown there. This wine is the result of careful vinification, aimed at expressing the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir.

The winemaking follows principles of minimal intervention, with the use of indigenous yeasts for fermentation and refinement in French oak barriques, some of which are new, to enrich the wine with complexity without overwhelming the varietal expression. Domaine de Bellene is dedicated to creating wines that can age gracefully, gaining complexity and nuance over time.

Visually, the Santenay Villages "Les Charmes Dessus" presents a brilliant ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with an aromatic bouquet of fresh red fruits, such as cherries and strawberries, accompanied by floral notes of violet and a subtle spiciness that reflects the elegance and finesse of Pinot Noir. The minerality of the soil clearly shines through, adding depth and character to the olfactory profile.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a balanced structure, with fine tannins and a well-integrated acidity that gives freshness and liveliness. The aromatic complexity evolves into a long and persistent finish, where the fruit, flowers and spices blend harmoniously, leaving a sensation of elegance and complexity.

Ideal paired with delicate red meats, roasted poultry, mushroom dishes and medium-aged cheeses, the Santenay Villages "Les Charmes Dessus" by Domaine de Bellene is an authentic expression of Burgundy, offering a rich and nuanced tasting, celebrating the nobility and refinement of Pinot Noir in one of its most representative terroirs.
