The Barbera d'Asti DOCG "Bricco Carlina" is a celebration of the richness and elegance of the Barbera vine, grown in the hills of Asti, the beating heart of wine-growing Piedmont. This wine, which takes its name from the specific locality "Bricco Carlina", stands out for its aromatic intensity and its balanced structure, the result of wise management of the vineyards and careful winemaking which aims to enhance its best qualities.
Visually, "Bricco Carlina" has a lively and deep ruby red color, with purple reflections that underline its youth and freshness. On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex and inviting bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of sweet spices and a delicate vanilla touch, a sign of measured aging in wood which adds complexity without overpowering the fruity expression.
In the mouth, Barbera d'Asti "Bricco Carlina" offers a perfect balance between the characteristic acidity of the grape and a soft and harmonious tannic structure. The richness of the fruit is expressed in a full and enveloping texture, which leads to a long and persistent finish, where the fruity and spicy notes blend into a pleasantly complex aftertaste.
Ideal in combination with a wide range of dishes, from pasta to meat sauces, grilled or stewed red meats, up to medium-aged cheeses, this Barbera d'Asti DOCG is also an excellent meditation wine, capable of evolving and to reveal increasingly complex nuances as time passes.
