After fermentation, Pieri Agostina's Brunello di Montalcino matures for at least four years, including two years in oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and structure. The result is a wine with a deep ruby red color, which tends to garnet as it ages. On the nose, it opens with rich scents of ripe fruit, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, tobacco, and leather.
On the palate, Brunello di Montalcino offers a solid and well-balanced structure, with robust yet harmonious tannins. Its excellent acidity and the persistence of flavors make it an ideal companion for rich meat dishes, such as roasts and game, but also aged cheeses. It is recommended to decant the wine at least one hour before serving to enhance all its qualities.
This wine not only reflects the excellence of the territory from which it originates but also represents the commitment of Pieri Agostina Winery in producing wines that continue to improve over time. Thus, the Brunello di Montalcino is an excellent choice for wine lovers seeking deep and memorable tasting experiences.
