Georges Duboeuf, known as "the king of Beaujolais", is a legendary figure in the world of wine, whose cellar helped make Beaujolais Nouveau internationally famous, celebrating the release of this young, fruity wine every third Thursday of November .
Produced exclusively with Gamay grapes, Georges Duboeuf's Beaujolais Nouveau is the result of a particular vinification process, known as carbonic maceration, which allows maximum freshness, fruity aromas and liveliness to be extracted from the vine, with a minimum of tannins. This process gives the wine its characteristic lightness and drinkability, with a notable aromatic intensity.
At sight, Beaujolais Nouveau presents itself with a brilliant purplish-red color, which immediately invites tasting. On the nose, the wine explodes with intense aromas of fresh red fruits, such as strawberries, cherries and raspberries, with possible floral notes and a light spiciness that adds complexity to the bouquet.
In the mouth, the wine is lively and joyful, with a freshness and fruitiness that reflect the olfactory sensations. The structure is light, making Georges Duboeuf's Beaujolais Nouveau extremely pleasant and easy to drink, with a clean and refreshing finish that invites another sip.
Ideal as an aperitif or paired with light dishes, cured meats, fresh cheeses and chicken or fish dishes, Beaujolais Nouveau represents a celebration of the annual harvest and a moment of conviviality and sharing. Its release is a global event that marks the start of the festive season, bringing with it a message of joy and unity.
