The Etna Rosso DOC of Masseria Setteporte is an excellent example of how the volcanic terroir of Etna can express itself in a wine of character and complexity. Produced on the slopes of the active volcano, this wine is a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, two indigenous varieties that capture the essence of Sicily.
The winemaking process follows traditional methods with fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging in barriques, which imparts elegance and structure to the wine. On the nose, the Etna Rosso DOC reveals intense aromas of wild berries, spicy notes, and a slight balsamic touch, typical of lava soils. On the palate, the wine is rich and complex, with a beautiful acidity that ensures freshness and a subtle yet persistent tannin.
With an intense ruby red color, this wine is the ideal accompaniment for red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses. Its elegance also makes it suitable for enjoying on its own, as a moment to contemplate the uniqueness of the Etna terroir. A wine to discover and appreciate over the years, thanks to its exceptional aging potential.
