The Barolo DOCG "Castellero" by Giacomo Fenocchio is a sublime interpretation of Nebbiolo coming from the famous Castellero area, one of the most appreciated crus in the Barolo area. The Giacomo Fenocchio winery, recognized for its fidelity to tradition and for the use of winemaking methods that enhance the purity of the grape variety and the character of the terroir, offers in this wine a masterful demonstration of its oenological mastery.

This Barolo has an intense garnet red color, with reflections that tend towards orange with age. On the nose, the "Castellero" expresses a rich bouquet of aromas, with notes of ripe red fruit, in particular cherries and plums, accompanied by sensations of withered flowers, spices, tobacco and a subtle touch of leather, typical of the most refined expressions of Barolo.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a powerful but balanced structure, with solid and at the same time silky tannins, which integrate harmoniously with a well-measured acidity, contributing to a full and enveloping sip. The finish is long and persistent, with an elegant aftertaste that recalls the notes perceived on the nose, enriched by a pleasant minerality that confirms the complexity and elegance of the wine.

Perfect in combination with traditional Piedmontese cuisine, such as red meats, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, Giacomo Fenocchio's Barolo "Castellero" is also an excellent candidate for aging, capable of evolving and gaining even more complex expressions and faded over the years.
