The Cannonau di Sardegna DOC - Senes by Argiolas is a superb expression of the Cannonau vine, one of the most representative and historic of Sardinia. The Argiolas winery, located in the heart of Southern Sardinia, is recognized for its excellence in the production of wines that enhance the island's native varieties, combining winemaking tradition and innovative techniques to create wines of great character and quality.

The "Senes" represents one of Argiolas winery's most successful efforts in exploring the complexity and depth that Cannonau can offer. The name "Senes" derives from a Sardinian term that evokes the concept of time and tradition, drawing attention to the long wine-growing history of the island and the importance of the passage of time both in the cultivation of vineyards and in the refinement of wine.

This Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is the result of a careful selection of the best Cannonau grapes, grown in vineyards that benefit from an ideal climate and soils that contribute to giving the wine a rich aromatic concentration and an excellent structure. Winemaking is aimed at preserving the integrity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir, with refinement partly in oak barriques which adds complexity without overpowering the varietal character of the wine.

Senes has an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections that testify to its youth and vitality. On the nose, the wine expresses a wide range of aromas, ranging from notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, to nuances of spices, Mediterranean herbs and a delicate touch of vanilla and leather. This olfactory complexity introduces a rich and enveloping palate, where the fruit is well balanced by lively acidity and ripe, silky tannins, which contribute to a persistent sensation of elegance and harmony.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes of Sardinian and Mediterranean cuisine, such as roast meats, game and mature cheeses, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC - Senes by Argiolas is a wine that proudly celebrates Sardinian roots and winemaking traditions, offering a tasting experience capable of exciting and surprising wine lovers.
