An Andalusian winery from the Montilla‑Moriles denomination, known for its artisanal interpretation of fortified wines and for the renowned Don PX labels made from Pedro Ximénez.
Region: Montilla‑Moriles, Andalusia (Córdoba)
Country: Spagna
Founded: 1922
Grapes: Pedro Ximénez, Palomino Fino
Specializing in wines from the Pedro Ximénez grape. Historic premises housed in a former power station with underground aging galleries. Production and long aging in barrels for wines and vinegars. Artisanal practices: numbered labels and selected vintage bottlings.
Winery history
The family traces its winemaking origins to a small cellar established near the Noria; the present Bodegas Toro Albalá was consolidated when José María Toro Albalá converted an old power station into a winemaking and aging facility, boosting the production of vintage wines and the accumulation of historic barrels still used today.
Production philosophy
