The Enantio Riserva DOC from Cantina Roeno is a celebration of elegance and the wine-making history of Valdadige, a small area winding between Trentino and Veneto. This wine is produced from pre-phylloxera vines, planted in unique soils made up of alluvial deposits, pebbles, and clay, which contribute to the wine’s remarkable structure and complexity.
The harvest for Enantio Riserva occurs by hand in the early days of October, following meticulous selection criteria to ensure that only the best grapes are used. After fermentation, the wine ages in French oak barriques for a period of 12 months, followed by another 6 months in the bottle before it is released onto the market.
Visually, this wine boasts an intense ruby red color with purple highlights. On the nose, it expresses a complex and seductive bouquet of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight hint of tobacco. On the palate, Enantio Riserva reveals an extraordinary concentration of flavors, with a dominance of cherry and plum, accents of black pepper and vanilla, and a well-balanced tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential.
This wine is particularly suited to accompany robust dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses. The tasting experience is enhanced by serving it at a temperature of 18°C, after having it decanted for about an hour.
The Enantio Riserva DOC is more than a wine; it is a heritage of viticultural history, a charming expression of the Terredeiforti pre-phylloxera terroir, continuing to amaze enthusiasts of structured and profound wines.
