Riesling Beerenauslese, produced by the historic Bassermann-Jordan winery, is a rare gem vinified in the Jesuitengarten vineyards. This German wine encapsulates the quintessence of late harvest, selecting only grapes affected by "noble rot," which concentrates sugars and flavors, resulting in a wine of extraordinary sweetness and complexity.

The Riesling Beerenauslese, brilliant in its intense golden color, emanates deep aromas of candied fruit, acacia honey, and subtle citrus notes. On the palate, it reveals itself to be rich and luxuriant, with a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness that leaves a long and pleasantly persistent finish. The layers of flavor include peach, apricot, and a mineral finesse that testifies to the extreme quality of the Jesuitengarten terroir.

Ideal as a meditation wine, it pairs perfectly with foie gras, blue cheeses, or complex desserts such as crème brûlée or fruit tarts. A true expression of mastery in viticulture and winemaking that will surprise and delight the most discerning connoisseurs.

Winery history
The winery dates back to 1718 and has played an important role in the development of quality viticulture in the Pfalz. During the 19th and 20th centuries the Jordan family helped establish the region’s reputation for premium wines; the estate has been a founding member of the VDP since 1910. In recent years management and production organization have evolved while maintaining a strong connection with the individual historic vineyards of Deidesheim, Forst and Ruppertsberg.

The winery’s stated style blends tradition and innovation, with attention to sustainability and the distinctive character of local varieties, particularly Riesling.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Deidesheim, in the Pfalz wine region, the estate cultivates vineyards in several of the area's renowned single-vineyard sites, including, as cited in the sources, Forster Pechstein and Jesuitengarten, Deidesheimer Kieselberg, Hohenmorgen, Leinhöhle, Ungeheuer and other parcels around Deidesheim, Forst and Ruppertsberg.
