The Barolo DOCG Bricco Rocche 2020, produced by the renowned Ceretto winery, represents excellence in the Piedmontese wine landscape. This wine is the result of a meticulous selection of Nebbiolo grapes, sourced from the namesake "Bricco Rocche" vineyard located in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto. The particularly suitable territory endows the wine with unique characteristics, making it stand out for its extraordinary complexity and elegance.
The vinification follows traditional methods, with a long maceration of the skins that allows for the extraction of intense colors and robust tannins. This is followed by approximately 24 months of aging in French oak barrels, which helps mellow the tannins and integrate the various aromatic components.
Visually, the Barolo Bricco Rocche boasts a deep garnet red color. On the nose, complex notes of ripe red fruit, fine spices, and a slight hint of tobacco and chocolate emerge. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet balanced, with an excellent tannic structure that promises great aging potential. The fruit and spice flavors persist in a long and pleasantly harmonious finish.
Ideal as an accompaniment to red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Barolo DOCG Bricco Rocche 2020 by Ceretto is a wine that continues to evolve magnificently in the glass, promising to develop further nuances with years of cellaring.
