The Pinot Nero Riserva Trevenezie IGT by Kante represents a distinct and refined expression of this noble grape variety, grown in the picturesque valleys between the regions of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Trentino-Alto Adige. This wine is distinguished for its elegance and complexity, the result of careful selection of grapes and a winemaking process that adheres to the principles of craftsmanship and sustainability.

Visually, it presents an intense ruby red color, which foretells the complex organoleptic nuances that characterize it. On the nose, notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and wild strawberries immediately emerge, followed by hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and a light touch of toasting, due to aging in French oak barrels.

On the palate, the Pinot Nero Riserva offers a well-balanced structure, with soft but persistent tannins and an acidity that brings freshness and liveliness to the sip. The aftertaste is long and pleasantly aromatic, with an echo of red fruit and spices that lingers.

Recommended to accompany delicate meat dishes like duck à l'orange or pork tenderloin encrusted with herbs, the Pinot Nero Riserva from Kante also proves to be an excellent companion for a contemplative evening, alone or with a selection of aged cheeses.

This wine is, undoubtedly, an excellent choice for lovers of Pinot Nero who seek a wine capable of providing a deep and memorable sensory experience. Elegant and versatile, the Pinot Nero Riserva Trevenezie IGT is a testament to Kante's passion and expertise in producing high-quality wines.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
