The Barolo DOCG "Cerretta" by Schiavenza is an excellent example of how the Nebbiolo grape can express itself magnificently in the specific terroir of Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most renowned areas of the Barolo denomination. The Schiavenza winery, located in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe, adopts a traditional approach in the production of its wines, with a strong connection to the territory and particular attention to the quality and expression of the grape variety.
Barolo "Cerretta" stands out for its garnet red colour, typical of Barolo wines, which tends to acquire orange reflections with ageing. On the nose, the wine reveals a complex and fascinating aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruit, spices, dried flowers and hints of wet earth and tobacco, which intertwine in a rich and inviting bouquet.
In the mouth, "Cerretta" by Schiavenza has a robust and at the same time elegant structure, with well-present but velvety tannins, which integrate harmoniously with the typical acidity of Nebbiolo, giving the wine remarkable drinkability and significant aging potential. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose, enriched by a pleasant minerality.
Ideal in combination with Piedmontese cuisine, such as red meats, game, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles, and mature cheeses, Barolo "Cerretta" by Schiavenza is also an excellent meditation wine, which invites you to slowly taste it to appreciate it. full complexity and depth.
