The Rosso Toscana IGT "D'Alceo" from Castello Dei Rampolla is a wine that best expresses the passion and wine-making tradition of Tuscany. Produced in limited quantities, this label represents one of the gems of the Rampolla winery, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.
The "D'Alceo" cuvée is named after one of the founders of the winery and is primarily made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes, grown following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The biodynamic philosophy, which respects natural cycles and enhances soil biodiversity, substantially contributes to the complexity and depth of this wine.
On the nose, D'Alceo opens with intense notes of ripe red fruits, dark chocolate, and an elegant veil of sweet spices, displaying a maturation in French oak barriques that imparts sophisticated vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine is vigorous yet balanced, with robust yet smoothly polished tannins that promise excellent longevity.
