Chianti Classico DOCG - Badia a Coltibuono is one of the most representative and appreciated wines of Tuscany, produced in one of the most famous and historic areas for Italian viticulture. The Badia a Coltibuono estate, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, boasts a long history dating back to 1051. This ancient abbey-turned-winery is renowned for its dedication to quality and sustainability, producing wines that faithfully express the terroir and the tradition of the area.

The Chianti Classico DOCG from Badia a Coltibuono is a wine that stands out for its elegance, complexity and structure. It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes, the symbolic vine of Tuscany, to which other local varieties permitted by the regulations of the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination can be added in small percentages. The grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand, to guarantee the highest quality of the fruit.

Winemaking follows traditional methods, with particular attention to the conservation of varietal characteristics and the expression of the territory. The wine, after fermentation, matures in barrels of various sizes, including traditional large oak barrels, for a period that varies depending on the vintage, helping to round out the tannins and add complexity to the aromatic bouquet.

At sight, the Chianti Classico DOCG - Badia a Coltibuono has a brilliant ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, the wine offers a wide spectrum of aromas, ranging from ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, to floral notes of violet, enriched by nuances of spices, tobacco and a light balsamic touch. In the mouth, the wine reveals great harmony and balance, with an excellent tannic structure, a fresh acidity and a persistent and pleasantly fruity finish.

Ideal in combination with Tuscan cuisine and traditional Italian dishes, such as pasta with ragù, roasts, grilled meats and mature cheeses, the Chianti Classico DOCG - Badia a Coltibuono is a wine that enchants for its ability to combine intensity and finesse , offering a tasting experience that is a journey into the depths of Tuscan wine culture.
