The Moscato Rosa from Ansitz Waldgries is an elegant and refined wine produced in the gentle hills of Alto Adige, a region known for its wine excellence and skill in enhancing aromatic grape varieties. This Moscato Rosa is made from native grapes, carefully harvested to ensure perfect ripeness and an intense aromatic expression.

In the glass, it shows a delicate and bright color, while on the nose it releases intense scents of rose, peach, and sweet spices that envelop the senses. The sip is soft and harmonious, with a pleasant freshness that balances the aromatic character, giving a pleasant persistence. The careful aging preserves the natural liveliness and complexity typical of this grape variety.

Excellent as a meditation wine, it is also suitable to be paired with delicate desserts or light dishes based on fruit and fresh cheeses, enhancing their sweetness without weighing them down. A sensory experience that celebrates the tradition and the Alto Adige territory.

Winery history
The property, mentioned in historical documents as early as 1242, is an ancient ansitz in the Santa Maddalena area. The Plattner family has managed the estate since the first half of the 20th century and, over time, transformed the historic residence into a small artisanal winery now led by Christian Plattner. Bottling on a modern scale began in the second half of the 20th century, and the estate has progressively developed a collection of wines focused on the local area.
Production philosophy
An artisanal, terroir-driven approach: hands-on work in the vineyard, respect for the characteristics of each grape variety, and a production focused on expressing the identity of local varieties. The owner likens the creation of the wines to an artistic process, seeking to accompany the wine’s evolution rather than force it.
Terroir and vineyards
South-facing vineyards in the Santa Maddalena area on the outskirts of Bolzano, with steep slopes and views of the Dolomites. The area is Alto Adige / Südtirol, with wines historically linked to the local appellation.
