The Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC Riserva "Matan" by Pfitscher is a wine that embodies the dedication and passion for quality viticulture, characteristics that distinguish the Pfitscher winery, located in one of the most renowned regions in Italy for the production of Pinot Black. This vine, known for its elegance and complexity, finds in Alto Adige, with its cool climate and well-drained soils, the ideal terroir to express itself at its best.

The "Matan" Reserve represents the pinnacle of Pfitscher's Pinot Noir production, the result of a scrupulous selection of the best grapes and careful refinement that combines tradition and innovation. The grapes for "Matan" come from vineyards located at high altitude, where the temperature variations between day and night allow the development of a rich and multifaceted aromatic profile, as well as guaranteeing good acidity, fundamental for the structure and aging of the wine .

After manual harvesting, the grapes are subjected to fermentation in stainless steel tanks, before moving on to a period of maturation in French oak barriques, where the wine acquires complexity, notes of sweet spices and elegant tannicity. This winemaking and aging process is aimed at enhancing the varietal characteristics of Pinot Noir, while maintaining a strong link with the territory of origin.

Visually, the "Matan" presents itself with a delicate but deep ruby red color, typical of Pinot Noir. On the nose, the bouquet is complex and inviting, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, enriched by nuances of violet, spices sweets and a touch of vanilla and chocolate, the result of the elegant passage in wood.

In the mouth, the wine shows great elegance and balance, with silky and well-integrated tannins that support a solid but never intrusive structure. The freshness is well balanced by the softness, with the flavors of red fruit intertwined with spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a sensation of pleasant complexity and harmony.

Ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, Pfitscher's Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC Riserva "Matan" is also a meditation wine, capable of offering a profound and satisfying tasting experience, which reflects the winery's ability to produce wines of high expression and linked to the territory.
