The Pinot Noir Südtirol Alto Adige DOC "Fuxlwiten" in Magnum format by Pfitscher is a true testimony to the dedication of this South Tyrolean winery to quality and territorial expression. The Magnum format, with its ability to accommodate twice as much wine as a standard bottle, contributes not only to a slower evolution of the wine, but also enhances its characteristics over time, allowing for more complex and harmonious refining.

The "Fuxlwiten" vineyard, from which this Pinot Noir takes its name, is located in an area of Alto Adige that is particularly favorable for this delicate and demanding vine. Alto Adige, or Südtirol, is known for its mineral-rich soils and alpine climate, with marked temperature variations between day and night, which favor the development of intense aromas and good acidity in the wines, crucial elements for the production of high quality Pinot Noir.

Pfitscher follows a production philosophy that places great emphasis on sustainability and respect for terroir. The grapes for "Fuxlwiten" are harvested by hand with extreme care and subjected to a vinification process that aims to preserve the purity of the fruit and the finesse of the vine. Aging in French oak barrels helps integrate the flavors, adding layers of complexity without overpowering the varietal notes.

Visually, the Pinot Noir "Fuxlwiten" Magnum has a translucent ruby red color, with garnet reflections. On the nose, it opens with an elegant and multi-layered bouquet, which ranges from notes of berries, such as cherry and raspberry, to floral and vegetal nuances, with a light touch of spices and vanilla resulting from aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine stands out for its extraordinary elegance and balance. The structure is supported by fine tannins and a lively acidity, which give freshness and longevity. The flavors of ripe fruit intertwine with balsamic and earthy notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasant sensation of harmony and depth.

Ideal for special occasions and for aging, Pfitscher's Pinot Noir "Fuxlwiten" Magnum pairs beautifully with refined dishes of meat, game and mature cheeses. This wine represents an excellent example of Südtirol's ability to produce Pinot Noir of exceptional quality, and testifies to Pfitscher's commitment to creating wines that authentically express the essence of their territory.
