The Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Lavaux St. Jacques" by Domaines Faiveley is one of the jewels of Burgundy, capturing the essence of one of the most renowned terroirs in the region. This wine is produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the specific plot of Lavaux St. Jacques, one of the most famous Premier Cru areas of Gevrey-Chambertin, known for its optimal exposure and its soil rich in limestone and clay. These conditions help create wines of remarkable complexity, structure and aging potential.

Domaines Faiveley, a winery with a long and prestigious history in Burgundy, is known for its rigorous approach to viticulture and winemaking, aiming to produce wines that purely and intensely express the character of their terroir. The winery's philosophy emphasizes meticulous care in the vineyard and the measured use of winemaking techniques to ensure that each bottle faithfully reflects the origin of the grapes.

The winemaking process of "Lavaux St. Jacques" involves delicate fermentation and aging in French oak barriques, which varies in percentage of new and used, for a period that can extend for several months. This method allows the wine to develop aromatic richness and flavor complexity, perfectly integrating the tannins and adding subtle notes of spice and vanilla without overpowering the fruit.

Visually, the wine shows an intense and bright ruby red color. On the nose, "Lavaux St. Jacques" reveals exceptional aromatic depth, with notes of ripe red fruits, cherries and wild strawberries, followed by floral nuances, sweet spices and a distinctive mineral background. This olfactory complexity is a testament to the quality of the vineyard and the winemaking mastery of Domaines Faiveley.

In the mouth, the wine exhibits an elegant and powerful structure, with silky and well-integrated tannins that support a palate rich in flavors corresponding to the olfactory bouquet. The balanced acidity gives freshness and leads towards a long and persistent finish, where mineral and earthy notes emerge, typical of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir.

Ideal for pairing with refined dishes such as red meats, game dishes and medium-aged cheeses, "Lavaux St. Jacques" is also a wine with great aging potential, capable of evolving and enriching itself with new aromatic and gustatory nuances over the over the years.

The Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Lavaux St. Jacques" by Domaines Faiveley represents a work of oenological art, which enhances the nobility of Pinot Noir in Burgundy, offering an unforgettable tasting experience that celebrates the tradition and innovation of a of the most respected wineries in the region.
