Pfitscher's Lagrein "Rivus" is an authentic and vibrant expression of the Lagrein grape variety, grown in the sunny valleys of Alto Adige, a region that boasts a wine heritage of exceptional variety and quality. The Pfitscher family, with their passion and dedication, produces this wine by enhancing the unique characteristics of the South Tyrolean terroir and microclimate, offering a wine that is both rich in tradition and fresh with innovation.

This Lagrein "Rivus" is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes from the best vineyards, where the temperate climate, characterized by hot summer days and cool night breezes, allows us to obtain perfectly ripe grapes rich in aromas. Winemaking is guided by a respectful approach, which aims to enhance the natural qualities of the grape variety, followed by a short maturation in wood to add complexity without overpowering the freshness of the fruit.

Visually, the "Rivus" presents itself with an intense purple red color, typical of Lagrein, inviting tasting. On the nose, the wine unfolds a wide range of aromas ranging from notes of ripe black fruit, such as plums and blueberries, to floral nuances of violet, enriched by light accents of spices and a delicate touch of chocolate, the result of balanced maturation in barrel.

In the mouth, the "Rivus" reveals a solid but accessible structure, with soft tannins and a well-balanced acidity that contributes to a pleasant freshness. Dark fruit flavors mix with earthy and spicy notes, creating a harmonious whole that culminates in a persistent and savory finish.

This Lagrein is extremely versatile at the table, capable of accompanying a variety of dishes, from red meat to game, from medium-aged cheeses to mushroom-based dishes. It is also an excellent wine to be enjoyed alone, allowing you to appreciate its complexity and expressiveness.

With his Lagrein "Rivus", Pfitscher once again demonstrates his ability to interpret the native vines of Alto Adige with mastery and sensitivity, creating wines that tell the story and character of this land rich in wine culture, and that invite to explore the depth and variety of its wines.
