Maculan's Veneto IGT "Madoro" is a sweet red wine of exceptional quality and uniqueness, produced by the renowned Maculan winery, located in the heart of Breganze, a wine-growing area of Veneto famous for the production of distinctive, high-quality wines. The "Madoro", which literally means "sweet and golden", is an innovative blend of Marzemino and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, carefully selected and left to dry to concentrate sugars, aromas and flavours.
The vinification of Madoro involves slow fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in oak barriques, where the wine acquires complexity, balance and an extraordinary aromatic intensity. This process gives Madoro a unique richness and depth, making it a fine example of how Venetian winemaking tradition can meet innovation to create sweet wines of exceptional elegance and complexity.
Visually, Madoro has an intense ruby red color with amber reflections, a sign of its concentration and maturity. On the nose, it opens with an enveloping and complex bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruits, plum jam, chocolate and sweet spices, enriched by accents of vanilla and tobacco resulting from aging in wood.
In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with a sweetness balanced by a fresh acidity that supports its harmony and drinkability. The intense flavors of ripe fruit intertwine with notes of coffee, chocolate and spices, leading to a long and persistent finish, characterized by a pleasant vein of warmth and aromatic complexity.
Ideal as a meditation wine or paired with chocolate desserts, blue cheeses and foie gras, Maculan's Veneto IGT "Madoro" is an excellent choice for lovers of sweet wines looking for a rich, intense and memorable tasting experience, representative of the the wine excellence of the Maculan winery and the Venetian wine heritage.
