The Vranac has very ancient origins, descends from the Kratošija variety, and comes from the restricted area of Crmnica, Montenegro. It is the pride of national viticulture, covering 70% of the vineyards of Ćemovsko polje. The harvest is done manually and mechanically in September, the vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with spontaneous malolactic fermentation of 8/10 days. It always ages in steel for two years.
Shows an intense ruby red color. The olfactory profile offers distinct fruity scents of small berries, blueberries and blackberries, with soft spicy aromas. The sip is in perfect harmony with the nose, it turns out to be fruity with notes of blackberry, a balanced acidity, and moderate tannins.
It is recommended to combine it with red meats and game, spicy and fatty dishes, excellent with aged cheeses.
