Winery history Cantina Bulzaga

Operating as an agricultural and winemaking business in the calanchi di Brisighella, Cantina Bulzaga has progressively developed its production by selecting traditional, local varieties. In recent years the company completed its conversion to organic farming for all its products, strengthening a production approach that respects local ecosystems.

Production philosophy

The winery's approach is based on agroecological and organic farming practices, with attention to the area's biodiversity and an emphasis on indigenous varieties to express the identity of the Romagna hills.

Terroir and vineyards

The Rio Bazzano estate is located on the foothills of Brisighella, in a landscape of clay badlands. The soils are clayey, with west-facing exposure, good ventilation and notable diurnal temperature variation that favor the accumulation of aromas in the grapes. The estate reports an elevation of about 200 meters above sea level and a total property area of approximately 50 hectares, a portion of which is planted with vineyards.
