With 100% Centesimino grapes in Brisighella, in the province of Ravenna, Colchico is born.

The vineyards are grown on clayey soil with permanent grassing, exposed to the South-West at 120 - 150 meters above sea level, and trained with the spurred cordon system. The harvest is done manually between 15-20 September, followed by vinification with 20/25 days of maceration; in the first 5 days, 4 pumping overs are carried out per day. The wine rests for 6 months in a vitrified cement tank.

Ruby red in colour. Typical olfactory hints of the vine arrive on the nose, with floral, spicy and fruity aromatic hints; of violet, ground pepper and wild strawberries. The taste opens with a fruity and aromatic fragrance well balanced by the refreshing acidity. A slight tannic component with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

It goes perfectly with meat sauce, baked or grilled meats, excellent with knife-edged beef tartare.

The soils are clayey, with west-facing exposure, good ventilation and notable diurnal temperature variation that favor the accumulation of aromas in the grapes. The estate reports an elevation of about 200 meters above sea level and a total property area of approximately 50 hectares, a portion of which is planted with vineyards.
